Shepherd Counseling LLC

Mission

To promote health and wholeness through professional counseling, consultation and education from an integration approach of Biblical truth and modern counseling theories.

Core Values

  1. Every human being is created in the image of God and is therefore of inestimable value.
Professional Christian counseling integrates proven psychological theories and biblical truth. Therefore, therapy to hurting individuals, couples, and families is best done by fully educated, trained, and licensed counselors who understand that complete healing is impossible without a personal relationship with the author of life: Jesus Christ.
  2. God reveals each individual’s meaning and purpose for life within a loving community.
  3. Sin, which destroys human responsiveness and harmony, is overcome through the working of God in Jesus Christ and through his Spirit, who renews us in faith, hope, and love.
  4. Human suffering can become the context for discovering new dimensions to the grace of God that transforms our lives and fills them with new meaning.
  5. Human beings possess an intrinsically moral nature. Obedience to appropriate authority, pre-eminently to God and His Word, promotes healing and growth.
  6. The Bible is the sure word of a faithful God and is therefore a powerful source for healing and growth.
  7. The church provides a loving and accepting context for healing and growth to occur.
